Any person in the creative industry knows long hours each day are part of the job. I want to discuss the impact health has had in my life. This blog post is just sharing what works for me through my career. I am not a doctor or medical professional and this is purely for “entertainment purposes” only. Please always consult medical/health professionals. All I am sharing is organic and raw healthy foods/beverages here.
When I started in this industry, I was just excited to work on my passion, however I was drinking sodas, not the best food, and neglecting my inner temple. For the first few years, it had no affect on my body. When I was working months and years straight, I started to feel horrible and my energy was diminished.
I had to make this post based on integrity and how most people are eating and living in our industry. It was super important for me to do this especially during this time.
More than ever health must become a priority while working in Post Production and quite frankly any industry. For over the past two years putting good food in my body has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I used to consume processed food and be in a daze working. I noticed just even having a green salad or juice/Kombucha tea in the morning has made a huge difference in my work performance.
I am playing the long game and building my immune system robust so I can have a happy and healthy career.
Investing in thousands of dollars worth of gear is important, but investment in your physical health will make you more powerful.
Yes the healthy food is expensive, however when you realize how you feel and perform on your job and in your life, it becomes a priority.
The pay off will affect you in every area of life. Your zest for life will increase, skin will look radiant, and you can even have the energy to take on the jobs you want. I still have pizza, I still like ice cream, just most of what I consume on a regular basis is: organic greens, tonic herbs, juices, smoothies, berries, and superfoods.
Getting out for walks, soaking Vitamin D in the sun, working out is essential too. If your time is limited, and working in Post Production or creative industries is demanding, do whatever you can to start.
This has been one of the most important things I have ever done so I had to share this! I wish you nothing but health and success, and if you’re in this industry and feeling drained, overworked, stressed, this will really benefit your life.
Wishing you the best as always.
